This latest update brings some highly requested features, such as the ability to upload a custom picture to your gamer profile. Here is the official run down of the patch’s content.
- Upload custom Gamerpics to your Xbox profile; choose how you want to express yourself.
- Mixer Co-streaming is now on console, for everyone: With just a few clicks, you and up to three of your friends can stream together in a single broadcast. Plus, never miss your friends’ streams inside your Club and Arena Tournaments.
- Sign-in to your Xbox One with just one press of the Xbox button on your controller. Now you can make your controller truly your own.
- New user-generated tournaments for Killer Instinct on Xbox One means it’s never been easier to go to battle with your friends.
The Xbox iOS and Android apps also received updates, bringing support for LFG gaming, Game Pass Browsing and an Android specific feature, Messaging Chat bubbles.
The coolest feature here is Mixer, the ability to broadcast with yourself and 2 friends from 3 different consoles on the same broadcast.
Co-streaming arrives on Xbox One! With co-streaming, you and up to three of your friends can broadcast together to create a shared, multi-view experience on Mixer. With co-streaming now on the console, you can invite others to co-stream and join a co-stream – entirely from your Xbox One.
This is a really cool update, and I am a Playstation gamer personally and these changes really appeal to me. Anything that gives the consumer more power and choice is good in my book. Keep it up Microsoft and I’m sure you’ll find a bigger, happier player base.

Are any of my fellow Playstation users as jealous as I am right now?
