Sony announced a new promotion for their 12-month PlayStation Plus subscription, but it only applies to people in Europe. Anyone who does not currently have a subscription to PS Plus will receive a digital copy of Star Wars: Battlefront Ultimate Edition, but this is only for a limited time and with purchase of 12-month subscription fee directly from the PlayStation Store.
On the European PlayStation Store, the Promotion says you get both for €39.99. The Ultimate Edition for Star Wars: Battlefront is already €29.99, so you are actually getting a decent price for a high end edition of a game (depending on if it is a game you might want to play or not) and a year of PS Plus. Upon purchase, the “code will be sent via email or system notification within 10 days of membership purchase.” In Australia, the subscription and the game will cost you $69.95.
This deal is a “limited time offer” no indication on when this promotion ends. It appears the promotion is only for European and Australian customers, as the U.S. PlayStation Store does not have the promotion when you check it’s PlayStation Plus membership section. What a bummer.
The Ultimate Edition of Star Wars: Battlefront includes the base game and all the expansions, eleven added weapons, and 24 upgraded Star Cards. There are four expansions — Outer Rim, Bespin, Death Star, and Rouge One: Scarif. All of those include new maps, modes, and heroes.
