New PlayStation Ad May Be Teasing A New Uncharted Game

A new ad for the PlaySta­tion 5 was uploaded to the offi­cial PlaySta­tion YouTube chan­nel that could pos­si­bly be hint­ing at a new Unchart­ed adven­ture. One where the pro­tag­o­nist is a younger, updat­ed ver­sion of Drake.

The ad in ques­tion is titled “Live From PS5” and shows live-action ver­sions of mul­ti­ple games in the PS5 library in the for­mat of local news. Glimpses of Spi­der-Man, Kratos and Atreus from God of War, Aloy from Hori­zon, and many more can be seen dur­ing the video. How­ev­er, with­in these quick suc­ces­sion of images is a young girl hold­ing a torch in a dark cave–with a shiny object placed on a pedestal in front of her towards the end.

Keen Twit­ter users imme­di­ate­ly spot­ted the scenes, lead­ing to spec­u­la­tion that a new Unchart­ed title star­ring Nathan Drake’s daugh­ter, Cassie, is in devel­op­ment. Sony has not com­ment­ed on the rumors.

If this sequel does exist, it will like­ly be devel­oped by Naughty Dog, as stu­dio head Neil Druck­mann has said before the team was “done” with the fran­chise. Druck­mann did say, how­ev­er, that he would be open to anoth­er stu­dio tak­ing over, as long as they “get the essence of it right.”
