Nintendo showed off the next Metroid game during its Direct E3 2021 show, but it’s unlikely what fans were looking for. Metroid Dread is a side-scroller, and will be releasing on Nintendo Switch on October 8th. It wasn’t Metroid Prime 4, but it will hopefully be good enough until we hear more about the main entry.
Metroid Dread is available to preorder now, and there’s also a special edition and two new Amiibo figures. You can check it all out down below:
Preorder Metroid Dread Standard Edition

Physical copies of Metroid Dread’s standard edition are available to preorder now for $60. You can preorder a digital copy on the Switch’s eShop.
Preorder Metroid Dread Special Edition

Metroid Dread’s special edition comes with a steelbook case, art book, and five art cards for each of the five 2D Metroid games.
Preorder Samus And Emmi Amiibo

Nintendo is releasing a set of Amiibo alongside Metroid Dread. They are figures of Samus and Emmi (the robot seen in the trailer). Nintendo hasn’t announced how the Amiibo figures will interact with the game, but they likely will at a later date.
