BioWare’s Mass Effect Legendary Edition has finally arrived, and the PC edition is flying high right now on Steam. VGC noticed the game had reached a concurrent player number of 59,650, putting it in the top 30 most popular games on the storefront.
According to VGC, Mass Effect Legendary Edition is the record-holder for highest concurrent players on Steam for any BioWare game. However, compared to all other EA titles, this record goes to Apex Legends with 330,879.
It was only recently that EA has brought its games to Steam, having released them previously through Origin on PC. The 59,000 concurrent users is a decent sign that EA made a good decision, as well as the power of the Mass Effect franchise.
For those unaware, Mass Effect Legendary Edition includes remastered versions of Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3.
BioWare is currently working on another Mass Effect title that follows 2017’s Mass Effect: Andromeda. It’s being developed by a team of veterans and is likely still in the very early stages. It’s expected to release after Dragon Age 4.
