Lies Of P Demo Announced At Summer Game Fest, Full Title Releases In Fall

The Lies of P, a soul-like game with eerie mar­i­onette-like char­ac­ters, has an avail­able demo to play right now. It was announced dur­ing the Sum­mer Game Fest event, and is free for every plat­form. The game also had an announced release date of Sep­tem­ber 19th, 2023.

The demo announce­ment was part of a new trail­er which showed some of Lies of P’s world, along­side some glimpses of what play­ers can expect for boss­es dur­ing their trav­els. The trail­er also includ­ed short clips of game­play where dif­fer­ent weapons were seen, includ­ing an umbrel­la that blocks bullets.

Lies of P is devel­oped by South Kore­an stu­dio Neow­iz, which pre­vi­ous­ly was known for online games. You play as Pinoc­chio in Lies of P (suit­ing the title), and you’re look­ing for your father, Gep­pet­to. Of course, Pinoc­chio’s lies will like­ly have con­se­quences, but it’s unknown how dras­tic the effects will be if done continuously.

The game is set to launch on Sep­tem­ber 19th for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It will be part of Xbox Game Pass as well.
