Iron Banner Returns to Destiny 2: Check Out the New Gear

Bungie intro­duced Iron Ban­ner today dur­ing the week­ly reset and there is a huge change from Iron Ban­ner before Forsaken. 

If you did­n’t like that your Light Lev­el meant noth­ing in the Iron Ban­ner, then today is a good day for you. Bungie revert­ed to the orig­i­nal rule of your Pow­er mak­ing a dif­fer­ence and it debuts for the first time in Des­tiny 2, today. 

Lord Sal­adin now has week­ly boun­ties for you to com­plete. Each boun­ty rewards you with an Iron Ban­ner-themed reward, and there are two boun­ties which grant pow­er­ful rewards. All Iron Ban­ner-themed weapons and armor have a chance to be reward­ed up com­ple­tion of a bounty.

Sal­adin will also be offer­ing armor for direct pur­chase, as well as two weapons with unique rolls per event. You can gain access to pur­chase these items by com­plet­ing their asso­ci­at­ed bounties. 

If you have tokens left over from Sea­son 3, you can still redeem them in Sea­son 4 for rep­u­ta­tion pack­ages. These pack­ages also car­ry every Iron Ban­ner-themed rewards.

Post-match drops have also returned to Iron Ban­ner and, both Cru­cible and Iron Ban­ner gear will drop after match completion.

Bungie also reprised the Cru­cible map, Con­ver­gence, which is avail­able today for all Des­tiny 2 play­ers. For­sak­en own­ers will gain access to the map in pri­vate matches.

Iron Ban­ner start­ed today and ends next week on Sep­tem­ber 25th.
