Horizon Zero Dawn Patch 1.30 Adds New Game+, Ultra Hard Mode and More

Tweeted today on both PlayStation and Guerrilla Games Twitter, Horizon Zero Dawn received a decent patch today. It gives players face painting, a harder difficulty mode, New Game+, and plenty more.

New Game+ is what you should expect from a new game plus. You must have completed the main story of course, then you can restart the game without losing any of the weapons, outfits, or experience you have already earned. The level cap in Horizon Zero Dawn is still be 50, so you won’t be gaining levels, but you will be getting XP along the way.

There is also update versions of existing weapons and outfits already with an extra modification slot available for purchase. They have a hefty price tag and might set you back in shards.

Players who want to challenge their skills have the new Ultra Hard difficulty mode. Guerilla Games stated it “will enhance machine senses and behavior and will limit player health regen and other additional smaller tweaks.” Any player that decides to start on Ultra Hard can not change difficulty settings after.

There are also two new trophies. One for beating the game on New Game+, the other for beating it on Ultra Hard mode. These don’t count towards the Platinum Trophy.

Besides all of the above, facepainting and changing Aloy’s Focus was also added, which is all unlockable content. You can see some of them below:

Below are the full patch notes for today:
