Horizon Forbidden West Had Another Patch Released

Guerrilla Games released another update for Horizon Forbidden West, with patch 1.08 focusing, again, on issues reported from the players.

As usual, the developer shared the patch notes on the games subreddit, and began by announcing the already known issues the team is still working on. These include graphical problems with shimmering, sharpening, and screen saturation. There are also fast travel bugs and a issue with receiving the reward for completing the Black Box Collectibles.

When it comes to fixes, the list is rather lengthy and addresses problems from main quests, side quests, and world activities. Performance, stability, and other miscellaneous problems were also snuffed out. Most notably, Guerrilla fixed several crashing issues, as well as performed maintenance on the in-game cinematics, unintentional loading screens (previously mentioned in patch 1.07), and visual popping.

Other graphical bugs have also been taken of, including one where Aloy’s clothing wouldn’t appear wet after having been in the water, and an issue with Photo Mode controls freezing after performing a swan dive.
