Warner Bros. Montreal, the developers behind Gotham Knights, has announced a new release date for the game–which will now be October 25th of this year. Gotham Knights was originally scheduled to launch at the end of 2021, but it suffered a delay due to the need for additional development time.
“We are giving the game more time to deliver the best possible experience for players. We look forward to showcasing more of the game in the coming months,” Warner Bros. said in the announcement they made close to a year ago.
In case you may have forgotten, Gotham Knights take place in a world where Bruce Wayne has passed, leaving Gotham vulnerable to attacks from criminals and supervillains. Thankfully, Batman’s proteges Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood have stepped forward to protect the city.
This isn’t the only DC-related title in development from studio Rocksteady (creators of the Arkham series) is also working on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. This game is currently scheduled for a release in 2022 as well, but there have been reports that it will be delayed to 2023.
