After being announced last year with a super short teaser, which revealed no information about the game–more information on the next God of War title has finally been released. God of War: Ragnarok is the official title of the game, and a new trailer was shown during PlayStation’s Showcase today. The trailer showed a slightly older Atreus and Kratos journeying through the Fimbulwinte. They are seeking the Norse god Tyr.
The trailer also showed a bunch of returning characters from the 2018’s God of War, as well as some new ones–including Thor, who appears to be an antagonist against the father and son pair. Atreus is also seeking to find out more about his identity as Loki, which doesn’t make Kratos all too happy.
God of War: Ragnarok will be releasing on both PS4 and PS5. It was originally planned for a 2021 launch, but was delayed until 2022. No release date of any kind was given in the trailer.
