Ghostwire: Tokyo is heading to Xbox on April 21st, announced by Microsoft and Bethesda. The game originally released in March 2022 for the PlayStation 5 and PC, so this will be its first time on Xbox. Developer Tango Gameworks is owned by Microsoft, but this wasn’t the case when their publisher, Bethesda, signed a console exclusivity deal with PlayStation.
Ghostwire: Tokyo will be available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
The game will also get an update on April 12th, titled Spider’s Thread. It adds a new mode, new locations, added cutscenes, and quality-of-life improvements. This update will also be released for the PS5 and PC versions as well.
Spider’s Thread will take players into a “30-stage gauntlet” with the goal being the survival of the player. “As players clear challenges and complete stages, they will unlock more skills and earn in-game currency to spend on upgrades,” Microsoft said.
Additional missions will come with this update too, while the main story will have extra cutscenes added to give players a “deeper look” into the game’s narrative.
Lastly, new enemies will be arriving to Ghostwire: Tokyo in April. This includes the Silent Gaze–an invisible enemy–and the Retribution, which is described as “elusive.” Players get new skills as well, such as Charge Rush and Counter Attack.
