Friday the 13th: The Game will not be available to purchase (digitally or physically) after December 31st, 2023. Publisher Gun Media’s Friday the 13th license will expire on that day, and it seems there are no plans to renew it.
While the game won’t be able to be purchased, it will still be playable until at least December 31st, 2024. It’s unclear exactly when Friday the 13th will fully shut down, but there is still time for players to enjoy it. The publisher tweeted this announcement, also noting the game will available to buy for $5 until it’s delisted.
Each DLC pack will be available for $1, making it that much easier for players to get into the game before it’s pulled from storefronts.
“We would like to thank our community for the dedication they’ve shown to Friday the 13th: The Game and Gun Interactive as a whole, and we are happy the game will live on a while longer and continue to be enjoyed by anyone owning the game already,” the statement partially reads in the aforementioned tweet.
Friday the 13th: The Game launched for PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2017, eventually coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2019. The game received a steady flow of additional content and updates.
