Friday the 13th: The Game Launches May 26th

Gun Media has final­ly announced the release date for Fri­day the 13th: The Game after years of devel­op­ment and mul­ti­ple ear­ly access builds. Fri­day the 13th: The Game launch­es May 26th, 2017 for Xbox One, PlaySta­tion 4, and PC for $40. A phys­i­cal release is planned for a lat­er date.

Along­side the release date announce­ment, Gun Media put out a new trail­er for the game.

At launch there will only be a mul­ti­play­er mode. This mode will be 1 vs 7 where one play­er takes on the role of Jason Voorhees and the oth­er play­ers take on the role of camp coun­selors try­ing to escape. There will also be a total three mul­ti­play­er maps at launch. A sin­gle-play­er mode is planned to be added dur­ing the sum­mer as a free update.
