Gun Media has finally announced the release date for Friday the 13th: The Game after years of development and multiple early access builds. Friday the 13th: The Game launches May 26th, 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC for $40. A physical release is planned for a later date.
Alongside the release date announcement, Gun Media put out a new trailer for the game.
At launch there will only be a multiplayer mode. This mode will be 1 vs 7 where one player takes on the role of Jason Voorhees and the other players take on the role of camp counselors trying to escape. There will also be a total three multiplayer maps at launch. A single-player mode is planned to be added during the summer as a free update.
