Microsoft has officially announced the next Forza Horizon game, and it’s arriving right towards the end of the year. Forza Horizon 5 is scheduled to launch November 9th, 2021, for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Game Pass members will get the standard version, with the option to upgrade to Premium with an add-on.
The game is set in Mexico, which is just the larget international setting for the game, followed by Britain (Forza Horizon 4), Australia (Forza Horizon 3), France/Italy (Forza Horizon 2), and Colorado (Forza Horizon 1). It’s said this setting is the most diverse yet, as the Mexican landscape will span deserts, jungles, ruins, canyons, beachesm and even a volcano covered in snow.
Forza 5 is also bringing back the weather-shifting mechanic, with dynamic seasons that change weekly. The new Horizon Arcade lets you take on racing challenges, plus you can create your own rules in the Events Lab.
Turn 10 Studios is not working on just Forza Horizon 5, but they are also currently developing Forza Motorsport 8, though no release date was announced.
