Fortnite’s Season 2 Has Raised $144 Million For Ukraine Relief

Epic Games and Microsoft has raised more than $144 mil­lion for the human­i­tar­i­an relief efforts to sup­port Ukraine, as the devel­op­er has announced. Epic Games pre­vi­ous­ly con­firmed it would be donat­ing all pro­ceeds from Fort­nite to char­i­ty between March 20th and April 3rd.

Xbox also decid­ed to donate its own net pro­ceeds from Fort­nite dur­ing this same peri­od to sup­port char­i­ta­ble efforts for the peo­ple of Ukraine. Xbox will receive a plat­form fee of about 30%, give how large Fort­nite is, this could be a large chunk of the raised funds. The cam­paign came to an end a few days ago, with $144 mil­lion raised in just two weeks.

Epic and Microsoft are donat­ing the funds to UNICEF, Direct Relief, World Food Pro­gramme, and the UN Refugee Agency. You can learn more about what Epic is doing in regards to the Ukraine relief effort, here.
