Epic Games and Microsoft has raised more than $144 million for the humanitarian relief efforts to support Ukraine, as the developer has announced. Epic Games previously confirmed it would be donating all proceeds from Fortnite to charity between March 20th and April 3rd.
Xbox also decided to donate its own net proceeds from Fortnite during this same period to support charitable efforts for the people of Ukraine. Xbox will receive a platform fee of about 30%, give how large Fortnite is, this could be a large chunk of the raised funds. The campaign came to an end a few days ago, with $144 million raised in just two weeks.
Epic and Microsoft are donating the funds to UNICEF, Direct Relief, World Food Programme, and the UN Refugee Agency. You can learn more about what Epic is doing in regards to the Ukraine relief effort, here.
