Final Fantasy Origin Revealed, Coming To All Platforms In 2022

Square Enix closed out its E3 2021 presentation with an official reveal of Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, the spin-off from Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja. The game is set to release in 2022, and is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Final Fantasy Origin is an action-RPG within the vein of Nioh, and is much darker than most pervious Final Fantasy titles. You player as a warrior named Jack, who’s goal is defeat Chaos with his allies Ash and Jed.

Jack can wield spells and weapons from classic Final Fantasy jobs, such as dragon and black mage. In the reveal trailer, Jack can be seen using crystals to freeze enemies and break them into pieces.

PS5 players will have the first shot at the Final Fantasy Origin demo, which is already out now. It’s set in the Chaos Shrine and lets you sample some of these different classes. The demo will only be available until June 24th. You can read more details on the official Square Enix website.
