Far Cry 5 Breaks Sales Records for the Franchise in Week One

Accord­ing to Ubisoft, Far Cry 5 is break­ing the series sales records, dou­bling the sales of its pre­de­ces­sors. The stu­dio also revealed some play­er stats from its debut week of the game. Far Cry 5 made $310M USD in its first week alone, 50% of it com­ing from dig­i­tal sales. 

Peo­ple streamed the game more than 55,000 hours already, and YouTube video inter­ac­tions brought in 117M views. Ubisoft stat­ed this was also record break­ing for any of their titles with­in the first week.
