It appears Bethes­da’s will be launch­ing the free Waste­landers expan­sion on April 14th, even dur­ing the COVID-19 pan­dem­ic. They’re also releas­ing a Steam ver­sion on the same day Wast­landers launch­es.

Fallout 76 is Launching on Steam Soon - With Special Offers

Those who have played the game through the Bethesda.net launch­er have the option to play on Steam via a spe­cial offer. Now through April 28th, if you’ve already pur­chased Fall­out 76 on Bethesda.net, you can get the game on Steam for free. Just link your Steam and Bethes­da account before 11:59 p.m., April 28th. You can do that, here.

How­ev­er, you will not be able to trans­fer your Atoms or Fall­out 1st mem­ber­ship bal­ance between Bethesda.net and Steam. Atoms you earn are spe­cif­ic to one plat­form or the oth­er. Items you’ve pur­chased through the Atom­ic Shop will be avail­able on both launch­ers.

If you haven’t pur­chased Fall­out 76 on Bethesda.net, there’s anoth­er spe­cial offer for buy­ing it on Steam. Pur­chas­ing Fall­out 76 from April 14th through April 28th on Steam (either stan­dard Fall­out 76: Waste­landers ver­sion or the Fall­out 76: Waste­landers Deluxe Edi­tion), you’ll receive the Fall­out Clas­sic Col­lec­tion. That includes Fall­out 1, Fall­out 2 and Fall­out Tac­tics — for free.

Those who acti­vate their free Steam copy will also be get­ting the Fall­out Clas­sic Col­lec­tion dur­ing the two-week post-launch win­dow.
