Fallout 4 VR has been confirmed for Bethesda’s 2017 E3 press conference. The announcement comes from an interview between PR and Market Vice President Pete Hines and HipHopGamer (via Gamerant) during PAX East 2017.
During the interview Pete Hines states that he recently spoke to Todd Howard who said the following:
“Fallout 4 VR is the most incredible thing you’ve ever seen in your life. You can’t even imagine what it’s like playing in VR and how realistic it looks with everywhere you turn your head.”
There were also various other claims like “it will blow your mind” and “it is the craziest thing you have ever seen”. Naturally these words should be taken with a grain of salt because the vice president of Marketing is paraphrasing the lead designer of the game.
As of now, there is still not much known about the game despite its 2017 release date on HTC Vive. Previous demos had teleportation and some exploration, but was clearly more demo than game. The game will be showcased during Bethesda’s E3 press conference so expect much more information then. Also given the few number of games confirmed for the conference and this being Bethesda’s first try at virtual reality, expect it to be one of the longer parts of the conference.
