Fall Guys Is Not Coming To Xbox Game Pass

Ever since Fall Guys was released last year, peo­ple have been wait­ing for the game to launch on Xbox or Xbox Game Pass. Today, it appears one of those won’t hap­pen, although the mes­sage was a tad mixed. 

A com­ment on Insta­gram kicked off a strange inter­ac­tion on social media plat­form, with the user demand­ing Fall Guys come to Xbox Game Pass. The per­son run­ning the offi­cial Xbox Game Pass account stat­ed “it’s com­ing” in response to the comment.

How­ev­er, when this infor­ma­tion was seen by the Fall Guys pub­lish­er Devolver Dig­i­tal, they quick­ly fol­lowed up say­ing, “That’s incor­rect.” In a sub­se­quent response, the pub­lish­er also said, “There are no plans for Fall Guys to come to any form of Gamepass.” This was meant to clear up any con­fu­sion about it com­ing to either Game Pass for Con­sole or Game Pass for PC. 

Asked for the source of the infor­ma­tion, Devolver Dig­i­tal stat­ed it came direct­ly from “our dark lord Satan,” an obvi­ous joke. You can see the full exchange below:

No mat­ter how the mix-up hap­pened, it def­i­nite­ly appears that Fall Guys won’t be head­ing to Xbox Game Pass. This should­n’t be sur­pris­ing, espe­cial­ly con­sid­er­ing the state­ments made by Devolver’s co-founder, Graeme Struthers. He told GameSpot that he wor­ries about sub­scrip­tion based ser­vices like Game Pass, because games might be buried under piles of oth­er titles.

Fall Guys was devel­oped by Medi­a­ton­ic and was released back in August 2020 for PS4 and PC. Medi­a­ton­ic has already stat­ed it may bring the game to oth­er plat­forms, but no fur­ther announce­ments regard­ing this have been made.
