Fall Guys is finally heading to Xbox and the Nintendo Switch, with the game switching to a free-to-play business model. Following a lengthly delay, developer Mediatonic has announced the quirky battle royale game will arrive to the new platforms on June 21st–the same time the game will go free.
There will be full cross-play and cross-progression support (across Xbox, Switch, PS4, and PS5, which are also adopting the free-to-play model in June) thanks to the Epic’s Online Services functionality.
A new Fall Guys season is also releasing on June 21st, and the team has promised it to be the “most jam-packed and blunderful season yet.” Players can expect “stacks of new challenges and rewards,” as well as “major updates” to the game’s progression systems. This new season will also be bringing a new in-game currency called Show-Bucks.
Mediatonic also announced that existing Fall Guys players will be granted a Legacy Pack that includes “spangly cosmetic items,” as well as everything from thee game’s first season pass for free.
Mediatonic was acquired by Epic Games back in 2021 as part of the company’s efforts to create a metaverse.
