Today Sony host­ed a State Of Play livestream show­ing of some upcom­ing and upgrad­ed games for the PlaySta­tion 5.During todays stream Sony talked about Crash Bandi­coot 4: Its about time get­ting some PS5 enhance­ments, gave us a new look at upcom­ing rogue like game Retur­nal and debuted Final Fan­ta­sy VII Remake Inter­grade and much more. Crash Bandicoot 4: Its About Time

Crash Bandi­coot 4: Its About Time hit the PlaySta­tion 4 last year and was great but now with the pow­er of the new PlaySta­tion 5 Crash will be run­ning much bet­ter. Devel­op­er Toys For Bob is “pulling all the stops” and mak­ing the lat­est entry in the Crash Bandi­coot world look and run beau­ti­ful­ly on the PS5. The PS5 ver­sion will fea­ture improved graph­ics and per­for­mance, run­ning at native 4k res­o­lu­tion at 60 frames per sec­ond. The audio is also being updat­ed to sup­port 3D audio and the game will load much faster thanks to the PS5s super fast SSD.

Returnal

Devel­op­er House­mar­que gave us new look at some game­play from their upcom­ing rogue­like shoot­er game Retur­nal. The game­play shows the main char­ac­ter tak­ing on a few ene­mies using some of the weapons avail­able in the game, while the main focus was the game­play the pre­sen­ta­tion touched on the nar­ra­tive slight­ly hint­ing that is a big mys­tery to unrav­el when the game launches. 

Knockout City

EA Games showed some new game­play for their upcom­ing “dodge­brawl” game Knock­out City. #v3 mode and a new map were shown. Knock­out City will be avail­able on mul­ti­ple plat­forms and offers cross play between them all. if you are inter­est­ed in try­ing the game, EA is ask­ing play­ers to sign up for an upcom­ing beta to test the game ahead of its release. Sifu

Sifu is the new game of Slo­clap, the inde­pen­dent stu­dio behind Absolver. A third per­son action game fea­tur­ing intense hand-to-hand com­bat, it puts you in con­trol of a young Kung-Fu stu­dent on his path of revenge through­out the city. Com­ing out on Playsta­tion in 2021.

Solar Ash

Solar Ash is one of the first games announced for the PlaySta­tion 5, since the ini­tial announce­ment not a lot about Solar Ash has been shown. Devel­op­er Heart Machine showed some game­play dur­ing today’s State Of Play stream. In a post on the offi­cial PlaySta­tion Blog, Stu­dio Head Alex Pre­ston describes the game “Solar Ash is a third-per­son action plat­former with mas­sive scale and a focus on flu­id­i­ty in move­ment. We real­ly want­ed to push scale on mul­ti­ple fronts. Our tra­vers­a­ble world is huge, fea­tur­ing sunken cities, vast water shelves, and dan­ger­ous lava zones for play­ers to fight through and explore.” Solar Ash will be avail­able for the PlaySta­tion 4 and 5 some­time lat­er in 2021.

Five Nights At Freddy’s: Security Breach

Steel Wool Stu­dios revealed the first game­play from upcom­ing Five Nights At Fred­dy’s: Secu­ri­ty Breach. 

Oddworld: Soulstorm

Odd­world: Soul­storm is com­ing to the PlaySta­tion 4 and 5 on April 6th and will be avail­able to PlaySta­tion Plus sub­scribers at no extra cost at launch. Check out the new game­play trail­er that was shown dur­ing todays event above.

Kena: Bridge Of Spirits

Kena: Bridge Of Spir­its looks like an awe­some game, com­bin­ing game­play ele­ments from both the Pik­min and The Leg­end Of Zel­da games Dur­ing todays event Ember Games revealed new game­play and an August 24th release date for both the PlaySta­tion 4 and PlayStation5 ver­sions of the game. Deathloop

Bethes­da showed a new game­play trail­er for PlaySta­tion 5 and PC Game Deathloop. Before Bethes­da was acquired by Microsoft they entered in to a con­sole exclu­siv­i­ty deal with Sony mak­ing Deathloop a PlayStation5 con­sole exclusive. 

Trapped in a time loop, Colt has been expe­ri­enc­ing déjà vu for as long as he can remem­ber, which actu­al­ly isn’t very long because he has amne­sia and only real­ly remem­bers his recent past. That might explain all the déjà vu, hon­est­ly. Every time the day loops it’s a strug­gle to remem­ber every­thing so he can use the knowl­edge he has to push him­self for­ward and, hope­ful­ly, off the island of Black­reef. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade

Final Fan­ta­sy VII Remake Inter­grade is an upgrad­ed ver­sion of the PS4’s Final Fan­ta­sy VII Remake for the PS5. The expe­ri­ence will be most­ly the same as the PS4 with the PS5 ver­sion fea­tur­ing improved graph­ics and tex­tures, new light­ing, new fog effects and Photomode.
