As of Decem­ber, Epic Games Store fin­ished up it’s first full year as a PC game launch­er. Pre­vi­ous­ly, Epic stat­ed they would be giv­ing away a free title every two weeks, which became one or two games a week.

This pro­gram was sup­posed to end after Decem­ber, but Epic announced today they will still be giv­ing away free games dur­ing 2020. Games will be giv­en away every sin­gle week, for the whole year.

Those with an Epic Store account will be able to claim these titles and, as before, these games are yours to keep for­ev­er. New games rotate every Thurs­day, and depend­ing on the games rat­ing, Epic will give away anoth­er title. If a game is rat­ed M or PEGI-18, a sec­ond title for younger play­ers will also be giv­en out.

Epic also released some num­bers from their first year, and it looks like they had a busy year. They gave away 73 games, total­ing $1,455 in total val­ue and over 200M free games have been claimed. PC play­ers have spent $680M in the Epic Games Store, with $251M spent on third-par­ty games. The top three most active coun­tries in Decem­ber 2019 was the Unit­ed States at 17.24%, Rus­sia at 10.15% and Chi­na at 8.36%.
