Early today, Epic announced the latest free game they’re giving out in the Epic Games Store. It seems because this free title is a major one, it’s causing some problems with Epic’s servers, which includes Fortnite.
Epic revealed this week’s free game, Grand Theft Auto V, which sent people into a tizzy. It appears with so many trying to log into Epic to claim this game, it’s caused massive crashing. The official Epic Games Store Twitter account acknowledged the 500 errors people were getting, only to tweet out a few hours later they hadn’t resolved the issue:
Fortnite is also having server problems, with the game’s official status Twitter account announcing they’re investigating the issue on PC and Mac. A few hours later, they also shared that login troubles are also affecting Android and iOS.
Obviously, Epic is working on the issues and will get back with any changes as soon as they happen.
In other Epic news, yesterday, the company revealed their newest engine and announced that Fortnite would be launching alongside the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
