It appears all of EA’s servers are down and have been down for over 10 hours. The outage is affecting several games, including Apex Legends, FIFA 20 and Battlefield 5.

They started looking into reports of players not able to connect to online services, access Origin or EA Help around 2:00 a.m. ET. Shortly after tweeting there was an issue, EA stated they had resolved the problems with both EA and EA Help.

However, it appears they were hasty in their efforts, as players were still informing them they couldn’t access online EA titles. The EA Help Twitter account quickly reposted the same message when they first encountered the issue.

Several hours later, they still couldn’t get connectivity back to the impacted EA titles. The FIFA Direct Communication Twitter account posted they’re temporarily disabling FUT and VOLTA FOOTBALL match creation while they investigate the problem. They also asked users to “stay tuned” to the Twitter thread for updates.

It’s unclear what caused the server outage or if it’s just a capacity issue, since a majority of people around the world are stuck a home due the pandemic.
