EA Play Live streamed a few days ago, pre­sent­ing for around an hour. Infor­ma­tion on new and ongo­ing games from the pub­lish­er’s list of games. Some of the news includ­ed a return of a clas­sic fran­chise, more infor­ma­tion on the upcom­ing Bat­tle­field 2042, and a rac­ing game from EA’s new acquired Code­mas­ters. Dead Space

That’s right, Dead Space is get­ting a full remake. This is not a remas­ter, but the orig­i­nal title remade from the bot­tom to top. EA Motive will be work­ing on the project. Long­time fans have con­sult­ing on the game, giv­ing feed­back to make sure it’s great for new and return­ing players.

Apex Legends: Emergence

Apex Leg­ends is enter­ing its tenth Sea­son with Emer­gence, which fea­tures the new Seer char­ac­ter. Seer focus­es pri­mar­i­ly on stealth to track ene­mies with­out get­ting detect­ed. His char­ac­ter is voiced by Halo 5 and Mass Effect 3 actor Iké Ama­di. The sea­son kicks off August 3rd after the end of the Thrillseek­ers event.

Grid Legends

Grid Leg­ends is a brand-new rac­ing game from Code­mas­ters, a devel­op­er and pub­lish­er that EA acquired months ago. It has a sin­gle-play­er sto­ry mode that includes live-action seg­ments, with Sex Edu­ca­tion star Ncu­ti Gat­wa play­ing a big part. Grid Leg­ends will make use of Extend­ed Real­i­ty tech­nol­o­gy sim­i­lar to The Man­dalo­ri­an for an immer­sive experience.

Lost in Random

This is the lat­est game from the EA Orig­i­nals line­up, from the devel­op­er Zoink, who pre­vi­ous­ly made Fe. It’s Tim Bur­ton-inspired and fea­tures a unique com­bat style with a fan­tas­tic game design. Lost in Ran­dom releas­es on Sep­tem­ber 10th for all con­soles and PC.

Knockout City: Season 2

Knock­out City is get­ting a new con­tent sea­son which is focused on film­mak­ing in Hol­ly­wood. Actu­al­ly, it’s called Holowood, and it’s the game’s new map. There are new soda-pow­ered balls that can obscure play­ers’ vision.

Battlefield 2042

Bat­tle­field 2042 saw plen­ty of news dur­ing EA Play Live, includ­ing details on the new mode, Bat­tle­field Por­tal. This mode allows the com­mu­ni­ty to cre­ate their own game types and use equip­ment, sol­diers, and maps from sev­er­al oth­er games in the series. EA also announced an open beta will arrive at some point in Sep­tem­ber. EA Play sub­scribers will get ear­ly access to the beta if they pre­order the game.
