It has been several years since Dying Light 2 first arrived on the scene, and now we’ve finally got a release date. The long-awaited zombie sequel will be launching on December 7th for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Preorders are also available now. For some reason, the name has also changed, but only slightly, to Dying Light 2: Stay Human.

This announcement was made during a new web series called Dying 2 Know, which included a new gameplay trailer. You can check that out below.

Dying Light 2’s world changes based on the decisions you make as well as competing factors. It still features the original game’s co-op play, with parkour playing a big part in how you escape and maneuver throughout the city.

Just like the original game, Dying Light 2 is being developed by Techland. The process has reportedly been rough, with complaints regarding the company’s use of other games as creative starting points as well as toxic work culture. Chris Avellone was previously the narrative director on the project, but Techland parted ways with him after several sexual assault and harassment allegations surfaced.
