Director/Writer of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Comes a New Game ‘A Way Out’

EA revealed a new game from developer Hazelight, which has been titled “A Way Out.” Hazelight is a new development team, but the writer/director who worked on Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, will also be working on this project.

A Way Out will also be a cooperative experience, except you are breaking out of a prison (ohh my). You can play as one of two characters —Vincent or Leo—and the journey they take together.

This is a story driven game and is played split-screen co-op only. There is no solo play in A Way Out, but you can play co-op online or locally on the couch with a friend. The creator actually recommends playing with a friend in the local setting as the game is designed to function that way. To see what A Way Out has to offer, check out the video below:

A Way Out is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in early 2018. The title will be published by Electronic Arts Originals Program, which help fund independent studio projects.

Hazelight was started by Josef Fares, the writer/director of the acclaimed Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Although A Way Out is the studio’s first major title, it looks to be an excellent start and I am really hoping success with this game.
