Cross-Play Announced For Fortnite Battle Royale

Epic Games has announced that the PVP battle royal part of Fortnite will have cross-play, allowing players on the Playstation 4, PC, iOS and eventually Android to play together.

Fortnite Battle Royale is coming to mobile devices! On phones and tablets, Fortnite is the same 100-player game you know from PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac. Same gameplay, same map, same content, same weekly updates. Starting Monday, you can sign-up for the Invite Event on iOS. Support for Android will be coming in the next few months.

Epic Games and Sony are using their partnership to make this happen, so unfortunately Xbox One players will not be able to enjoy cross-play and cross-progression with players on PS4, PC and iOS.

We believe this is the future of games. The same game on all platforms. Console quality graphics and action. Play when you want, where you want.

Starting on Monday March 12th, head over to and sign up for a chance to test Fortnite on your iOS device. Players who are selected will also receive codes for a couple friends so you will have a group to play with. To participate, you will need an internet connection and iOS 11 on at least an iPhone 6S/SE, iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad 2017 devices.
