After days of teasing, Bandai Namco has released a gameplay trailer for action RPG Code Vein.
The trailer features various cutscenes and boss battles. It also shows much of what was previously known such as Revenants, the monsters known as Lost, blood weapons and more. Regardless of whether or not the information is new, this is the first time gameplay has been shown.
Bandai Namco had this to say about the trailer and Code Vein’s companion mechanic:
“The trailer also teases the game’s companion gameplay mechanic. As players venture out into the world, they will be able to choose a partner companion from the various residents of Vein. Added strategy presents itself when players choose companions that complement their play style to give them a fighting chance against the vicious enemies they’ll be up against through their journey.”
Code Vein will launch in 2018 for “major home consoles” and is being developed by the creators of God Eater.
