Code Vein Receives First Gameplay Trailer

After days of teas­ing, Bandai Nam­co has released a game­play trail­er for action RPG Code Vein. 

The trail­er fea­tures var­i­ous cutscenes and boss bat­tles. It also shows much of what was pre­vi­ous­ly known such as Revenants, the mon­sters known as Lost, blood weapons and more. Regard­less of whether or not the infor­ma­tion is new, this is the first time game­play has been shown.

Bandai Nam­co had this to say about the trail­er and Code Vein’s com­pan­ion mechanic:

“The trail­er also teas­es the game’s com­pan­ion game­play mechan­ic. As play­ers ven­ture out into the world, they will be able to choose a part­ner com­pan­ion from the var­i­ous res­i­dents of Vein. Added strat­e­gy presents itself when play­ers choose com­pan­ions that com­ple­ment their play style to give them a fight­ing chance against the vicious ene­mies they’ll be up against through their journey.”

Code Vein will launch in 2018 for “major home con­soles” and is being devel­oped by the cre­ators of God Eater.
