Infinity Ward has announced that Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0’s least popular change is getting reverted in the upcoming Season 2 update. The Gulag is shrinking to give players a more traditional Warzone experience.
The battle royale’s sequel originally overhauled the Gulag to support 2v2 fights, which also included the additional threat of the Jailer–a minigun wielding NPC. These changes have been poorly received, as players are more often than not matched up with another random player, AFK players, or a partner that lacks communication.
It’s unclear if the revert to 1v1 will mean the removal of the Jailer, but the developer does state more details will be revealed in a blog post next week.
This news comes shortly after it was officially confirmed Season 2 of Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 is being delayed.
