A new update has arrived to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 today, May 16th. The patch notes address bugs, including a major perk exploit in the battle royale game, and weapon balancing for Warzone 2.0 guns.
According to the notes, three pistols received a nerf in Warzone 2.0, including the GS Magna, the X13 Auto, and the FTAC Siege. The GS Magna and X13 Auto will now both provide less armor damage at close range, while akimbo attachments for both weapons will also deal less close range damage to armor. The FTAC Siege pistol also had its armor damage reduced.
Warzone 2.0’s pesky Resupply exploit, which previously allowed players to generate lethal equipment at a much higher rate by repeatedly equipping perk packages, has been squashed.
This update also provided fixes for Warzone 2.0’s Ranked Play, addressing an issue that previously caused eliminated squad members to receive SR for unassisted enemy eliminations by live squad mates, and and another that stopped the in-game scoreboard from tracking assists properly. Additionally, players who are inactive will no longer remain in Ranked Play matches.
Other bug fixes include one that caused players to be removed from matches for inactivity while playing, an issue causing players to be stuck on “Fetching Online Profile” when trying to look at their social notifications.
The full patch notes can be seen below, as shared by Activision.
