Naughty Dog released a brand new trailer for The Last of Us Part II, and it’s a rather grim, gruesome one. The majority of the trailer features ordinary people being violent with one another, with sprinkles of appearances by the infected.

The trailer shows how years of survival has affected Ellie, who’s covered in scars and cuts on her back. Her skills as a fighter have dramatically improved, making her a formidable opponent. Joel and Ellie interact several times during the trailer, along with scenes depicting plenty of gore. You can see the trailer below:

This newest launch date was given after an indefinite delay that was caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. It also recently went gold, which means Naughty Dog has completed the game and production has begun Ghost of Tsushima, another PS4 exclusive, also got a new release date, though is still expected to launch this summer.

The release of The Last of Us Part II has, unfortunately, been overshadowed by major plot spoilers, which prompted Naughty Dog to respond. Sony later confirmed the leak didn’t come from a Naughty Dog or Sony employee, but didn’t give details about their ongoing investigation. Within the statement issues by Naughty Dog, they promised that, “No matter what you see and hear, the final experience will be worth it.”
