CD Projekt Financial Report Outlines Future of Gwent And Shows Promising Growth

CD Pro­jekt has recent­ly released their first 2017 quar­ter­ly report. To the company’s sur­prise they have actu­al­ly increased prof­it by 35%. A prof­it of $7.9 mil­lion USD was expect­ed how­ev­er in real­i­ty they have increased from $8.7 mil­lion to $12 mil­lion USD in profit.

A large amount of this prof­it increase comes from the devel­op­er CD Pro­jekt Red which saw a 35% increase from last year. This most­ly comes from sales of The Witch­er 3 and two expan­sions. It is pre­dict­ed that sales will con­tin­ue and pick up dur­ing hol­i­day sales.

Their dig­i­tal games dis­trib­u­tor GOG made less net prof­it than the devel­op­er how­ev­er it saw a 495% increase in prof­it. Show­ing that the ser­vice is see­ing healthy growth despite only mak­ing 1.5 mil­lion PLN.

For now future income relies most­ly on GWENT. CD Pro­jekt out­lines future plans as inten­sive mark­ing with next mile­stones, a Chi­nese edi­tion of the game, new game modes, paid sin­gle-play­er cam­paigns and var­i­ous gam­ing events/tournaments.
