Call of Duty’s Season 2 Reloaded update for Warzone brought major visual adjustments to Rebirth Island, and now Raven software has made some minor tweaks to address aggressive player feedback regarding the latest update.
On March 25th, the developer tweeted that a small update would be making its way to Warzone that would drastically reduce the chances of Juggernaut public events throughout Rebirth Island, along with the reduction of gas canister spawns on the map. Rebirth Island also has less spawn protection near the ground now as well.
These adjustments come after community complaints of too many Juggernauts on the tiny prison map. The Juggernauts can easily feel like overpowered bullet-sponges with deadly miniguns, especially with on Rebirth Island’s close-quarter design.
In other Call of Duty news, a developer from Raven Software just recently revealed that Warzone’s original map, Verdansk (and Caldera), would never be making a return to the battle royale. The developer also discussed the franchise’s new anti-cheat, Ricochet, saying Activision is working on making the software “better and better.”
Season 2 Reloaded for Call of Duty: Vanguard has also begun and you can check out patch notes for that, here. This season will be seeing the arrival of special Operator, Snoop Dogg, who comes to the game for the first time as a playable character. Lastly, Activision announced that Warzone 2 and the next Call of Duty title (being developed by Infinity Ward) will be released together sometime later this year.
