Call Of Duty: Vanguard’s Latest Patch Notes Include Weapon Balancing

A new update for Call of Duty: Van­guard has arrived in Sea­son 2 Reloaded, and the March 31st patch notes include details of weapon bal­anc­ing and updates to the new Arms Race mode.

Accord­ing to Sledge­ham­mer Games’ notes, the dev team has addressed a few issues regard­ing the large-scale Arms Race mode. An exploit was pre­vi­ous­ly allow­ing play­ers to become invul­ner­a­ble after dying from fall dam­age, as well as fix­ing the bug that caused Buy Sta­tion pur­chas­es to not sub­tract from a play­er’s cash bal­ance. Play­ers should also no longer expe­ri­ence hav­ing an invis­i­ble weapon when the “Bio­lu­mi­nes­cence” or “Steam­er” blue­prints are equipped.

The update also includes a touch of weapon bal­anc­ing. The Coop­er Car­bine assault rifle received a few attach­ment buffs: the 8″ Rag­doll Short and 17″ Rag­doll G45 bar­rels got got a decrease to recoil while fir­ing. The 22″ Coop­er Cus­tom bar­rel attach­ment has been nerfed with increased ADS time.

The Type 11 LMG now has decreased recoil while fir­ing, while the Bren has been nerfed a tad with an increase to both sprint-out time and hip-fire spread. The White­ly light machine gun has received a mas­sive dam­age decrease to the gun’s .50 BMG 150 Round Box­es mag­a­zine attachment–by a whop­ping 32%.

One more gun class saw changes in this update, the marks­man rifles. The M1 Grand now has decreased ADS time, while the SVT-40 received an increase to its ADS time. For the G‑43 marks­man, users should expect a decrease to both its ADS time and hip-fire spread.

User Inter­face & Experience

  • Bug Fix­es
    • Oper­a­tors will now prop­er­ly walk in the lob­by while a Com­bat Shield and Pis­tol are equipped in the favorite loadout.
    • Com­bat Pac­ing and Quick Play Fil­ter selec­tions will no longer be reset after return­ing to the Main Menu.
