Call Of Duty: Vanguard And Black Ops Cold War Sit At #1 And #2 Best-Selling Games Of 2021 In The US

Amid news that Activi­sion and the Call of Duty series are being absorbed by Microsoft, the NPD Group has released sales reports for Decem­ber 2021 (along with the full year), which revealed that Call of Duty: Van­guard and Black Ops Cold War were the top two best-sell­ing games of 2021.

Call of Duty: Van­guard was the best-sell­ing game of Decem­ber, as well as the top­per for the full year. It’s worth not­ing that the Call of Duty the best-sell­ing fran­chise in terms of dol­lar sales for 13 years in a row now.

Halo Infi­nite was Decem­ber’s sec­ond best-sell­ing title, fol­lowed by Nin­ten­do’s Poké­mon Bril­liant Diamond/ Shin­ing Pearl in third. Mad­den NFL 22 made a play for fourth place, with Bat­tle­field 2042 round­ing out the top five sales chart in the US. As far as the 2021’s sales went, Call of Duty: Van­guard was num­ber one of that chart also.

This was fol­lowed by Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in sec­ond, with Mad­den NFL 22 land­ing third. Poké­mon Bril­liant Diamond/Shining Pearl is sit­ting in fourth for the 2021 year, with Bat­tle­field 2042 tak­ing fifth in this list as well.
