Call Of Duty WWII Launch Issues Being Worked On

Call Of Duty WWII launched on Novem­ber 3rd and as any­one who has tried to play will tell you, the game is over­flow­ing with a ton of issues. Prob­lems rang­ing from play­ers lag­ging bad­ly to play­ers hav­ing their ranks reset.

While some things have improved, many prob­lems still exist. Activi­sion has post­ed a list of known issues in CoD WWII and stat­ed they are “Under Inves­ti­ga­tion”. Below is the list of known issues Activi­sion cur­rent­ly has posted.

Known Issues

The fol­low­ing issues that are under investigation.

I’ve lost ranks and stats.
– All platforms
We’re aware that some of you have lost ranks in Mul­ti­play­er. If you’ve lost ranks, choose your plat­form below to con­tact us. Under inves­ti­ga­tion
I redeemed a code but haven’t received the con­tent in game.
– Xbox One
We’re cur­rent­ly expe­ri­enc­ing issues with dig­i­tal con­tent redemp­tion on Xbox One. Rest assured your items will be deliv­ered to you once this issue is resolved.

Under inves­ti­ga­tion
I have a bonus con­tent item stuck in the Mail station.
– All platforms
We’re inves­ti­gat­ing instances where con­tent items col­lect­ed from the Mail sta­tion appear to be stuck in your Mail slots. This is a graph­i­cal error; the con­tent has been deliv­ered. Check the Sol­dier tab to find your content.

Under inves­ti­ga­tion
I’m expe­ri­enc­ing long load times when going to Headquarters.
– All platforms
Head­quar­ters load times are cur­rent­ly under investigation.

PC play­ers have the option of load­ing the game with­out enter­ing Head­quar­ters. To do this, fol­low the steps in the Call of Duty: WWII PC Trou­bleshoot­ing Guide.

Under inves­ti­ga­tion
I opened a Sup­ply Drop and got an “Unable to get inven­to­ry” error.
– All platforms
This error is due to a con­nec­tiv­i­ty issue. How­ev­er, the items in your Sup­ply Drop were not lost and should appear in your inven­to­ry with­in 8 hours.

Under inves­ti­ga­tion
I opened a Sup­ply Drop and noth­ing happened.
– All platforms
We’re inves­ti­gat­ing an issue where noth­ing appears when open­ing a Sup­ply Drop. You still received your Sup­ply Drop items and can find them in the Sol­dier tab.

Under inves­ti­ga­tion
I redeemed a code for the Mul­ti­play­er Upgrade but nev­er received the Pres­tige Unlock Token.

We’re cur­rent­ly inves­ti­gat­ing an issue where some play­ers did not receive the Pres­tige Unlock Token includ­ed in the Mul­ti­play­er Upgrade. Under inves­ti­ga­tion

 

Devel­op­er Sledge­ham­mer Games has post­ed an update out­lin­ing the launch issues and giv­ing some infor­ma­tion about the steps they are tak­ing to fix them.

At launch, we expe­ri­enced an extreme­ly high vol­ume of play­ers con­nect­ing to our servers in a very short win­dow. This result­ed in play­ers expe­ri­enc­ing mixed online con­nec­tiv­i­ty across all plat­forms. In response, we pushed a change enabling high­er capac­i­ty load bal­ancers, result­ing in improved live connectivity.

Head­quar­ters, the new social space in Call Of Duty WWII has tem­porar­i­ly been made a “solo expe­ri­ence” and will return to a pop­u­lat­ed social space “short­ly”

Head­quar­ters will return to its ful­ly-pop­u­lat­ed, shared expe­ri­ence short­ly. In the mean­time, you can invite your friends to join your HQ expe­ri­ence at any time.

It looks like they are try­ing to fix these issues as soon as pos­si­ble and are look­ing at ways to com­pen­sate the effect­ed play­ers. Hope­ful­ly they get this fixed soon­er rather than later.

We have been unable to play Call Of Duty WWII far more than we have been able to actu­al­ly con­nect and play. We will be post­ing our review of Call Of Duty WWII, all 3 modes as soon as we can get some sta­ble online playtime.

Sledge­ham­mer Game’s Michael Con­drey has tweet­ed that leader­boards have been restored.
