Although Bethesda is now a first-party Microsoft studio, its upcoming game GhostWire: Tokyo is still heading to the PS5 as a console exclusive. The game was featured during the PlayStation Showcase, where we got to see more of how Tango Gameworks development is coming along.
The trailer showed various spooks, including one that doesn’t even have a head. It also showed some of the story elements from the upcoming game, including masked antagonists being led by Hannaya.
Players start the game on an abandoned street, while the population of Tokyo disappears around them. You need to solve the mystery of what’s happening while defeating the supernatural enemies that are roaming about.
GhostWire: Tokyo is set to release in 2022 for PS5 and PC. This will likely be the last title Tango Gameworks launches for PlayStation, since it’s now owned by Microsoft.
