DICE’s Battlefield 2042 will not be launching on time, and the studio confirmed that the game will now be arriving on November 19th. It was supposed to release on October 22nd, and it seems that this delay has been rumored for some time.

EA stated the team didn’t have the opportunity to get back together in person to work on the finishing touches. The extra time is needed because the game simply won’t be ready by October. The game is now poised to launch around the time of Halo Infinite’s release, but it now comes weeks after Call of Duty: Vanguard–instead of before it.

It’s been a long time coming for Battlefield 2042’s release, since DICE already took an extra year to develop the game. This gave developers more time to put into the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions.
