Ubisoft has released a rather large update for Assas­s­in’s Creed Val­hal­la for PlaySta­tion 4, PlaySta­tion 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, which address­es a bunch of issues of game-break­ing and quest-halt­ing bugs. 

Before this patch, cer­tain quests, side activ­i­ties and world events were plagued with bugs. Of course, this result­ed in play­ers being unable to fin­ish them, or lose progress when reload­ing an ear­li­er save. One bug would cause Aelf­gar to nev­er reach the intend­ed loca­tion to con­tin­ue The A Sword-Show­er in Ance­cas­tre quest. Sim­i­lar fix­es were made for oth­er quests.

PC fix­es include issues with freez­ing dur­ing the splash screen and when using “cer­tain actions for the first time.” Bugs like Fen­rir get­ting stuck under­ground, fast trav­el not work­ing and Eivor lev­i­tat­ing, have been fixed across all platforms.
