Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s second expansion, The Siege of Paris was given further details during the Ubisoft Forward E3 2021 presentation. The DLC takes place a few years after the main game’s events, in France.
During the stream, Ubisoft revealed the expansion will return to black box-style missions. These were first introduced in Assassin’s Creed Unity, and tasked players with accomplishing specific goals (like taking down a specific target). Instead of pointing dragging the player the whole way through, it lets them figure it out for themselves.
These types of missions were also in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. However, they have not been seen since.
The presentation also pointed at additional expansions for Valhalla following The Siege of Paris, with one entirely focusing on Odin scheduled to release later this year. The Siege of Paris, along with the Wrath of Druids, come packaged together in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s $40 season pass.
