It seems the recent leak about a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 remaster, turned out to be true. According to a PSN listing in Germany (which has been removed) the game is set to launch sooner than anyone expected.

The listing had it scheduled to release tomorrow, March 31st, retailing at $30. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: Campaign Remastered was the official title listed and, obviously, the game will not feature any multiplayer.

The remaster was previously leaked on a South Korean ratings list, after it was rumored to be in development since the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 back in 2018. Files regarding the remaster were datamined from the latest patch for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare during the weekend. That was before the release date and trailer leaked on PSN.

The PSN listing stated that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: Campaign Remastered will be “completely remastered with improved textures, animations, physical rendering, HDR lighting and more.”
