We now know what to expect from Season 4 for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and Warzone on June 17th. The roadmap reveals the usual new battle bass, modes, operators, and weapons, as well as a new limited-time event.

Limited-Time Event
Season 4 starts with a limited-time event titled “Ground Fall.” Players will have to find SAT-Links to score exclusive rewards. Like other events, players will have mission objectives pertaining to both Black Ops Cold War and points of interest in Warzone. Completing these tasks will earn rewards like emblems, calling cards, weapon charms, and XP. Finishing every challenge will earn you an epic secondary weapon blueprint.
Operators
The operators include:
- Jackal — available at launch
- Salah — mid-season
- Grigori Weaver — mid-season
Weapons

Five new weapons are heading to Call of Duty throughout Season 4. Two weapons unlockable via the battle pass, while the others are unlocked through challenges. The weapons include:
- MG 82 light machine gun — unlockable at tier 15 of the Season 4 battle pass.
- C58 assault rifle — unlockable at tier 31 of the Season 4 battle pass.
- Nail Gun — unlockable through challenge
- OTs 9 submachine gun — later in season unlockable through challenge
- Mace melee weapon — also unlockable through challenge
New Black Ops Cold war Multiplayer Maps

- Collateral — there are two variants of this map. Collateral Strike is for regular 6v6 playlists, while the 12v12 version includes vehicle usage.
- Amsterdam — close quarters map built for Gunfight 2v2 and Face Off 3v3 modes.
- Hijacked — the yacht from Black Ops 2 makes a comeback to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War at the launch of Season 4.
- Rush — the paintball-themed 6v6 map from Black Ops 2 will be available later in season.
New Modes In Black Ops Cold War
Multi-Team: Sat-Link — New Fireteam mode that requires players to power up satellites and keep them online for as long as possible to get points.
One in the Chamber — the classic Black Ops part game has returned, and will arrive at the launch of Season 4. This is a free-for-all mode were players only have one bullet to start, and only get one bullet after earning a kill.
Later on in the season, Capture the Flag will arrive to Black Ops Cold War.
Zombies

Season 4 brings more Outbreak content to Cold war’s Zombies. Zoo is the newest Outbreak map, which features a Ural Mountain zoo that’s filled with Zombies. The Dark Aether story also continues in Outbreak. The “Operation Excision” storyline will begin, allowing players to experience the narrative prologue for “Mauer der Toten.” This is the next round-based map coming mid-season.
New Onslaught PlayStation-exclusive includes the Collateral map on launch day, with new story intel to discover. Later on in the season, Rush will be added to Onslaught.
A new “Onslaught Accelerated” limited-time mode is also heading to Zombies, which also comes with a unique legendary LMG weapon blueprint for completing an Onslaught-specific challenge.
Warzone
Several satellites will be crashing in Verdansk when Season 4 hits, and players will want to investigate these sites. They won’t appear on the map, but the areas will be easily spottable in Verdansk, and can be secured.
Interacting with the Sat-Links will count towards the permanent rewards in the Ground Fall event. There are also items that can be of use during the match, like killstreaks, vehicles, and field upgrades.
Activision also posted a description about the previously leaked Red Doors, stating:
They allow you to [[REDACTED]] around the [[REDACTED]]. What’s behind them? Explore and enter them to [[REDACTED]] across the [[REDACTED]].
Red Doors won’t [[REDACTED]] unless you ping them, and after you step through, there’s no telling [[REDACTED]] exiting out the other side… and stepping into a [[REDACTED]].
The previous leaks showed the red doors as being Warzone’s new fast travel system.
New Gulag
The classic map Hijacked will be replacing the current Standoff Gulag when Season 4 arrives on June 17th.
New Vehicle
Dirt bikes are the first brand-new vehicle to make their way to Verdansk. Just like other Warzone vehicles, these bikes will randomly spawn around the map.
New Modes
Verdansk is getting Resurgence mode, which is similar to Rebirth Island. There’s no Gulag in Resurgence and the matches will feature smaller lobby sizes–depending on the squad size.
Players can expect a new mode during mid-season as well. Payload drops 40 players into a Warzone match to either escort two caravans of vehicles or to sabotage this mission. Players build or destroy barriers and purchase buildings to help complete their goal.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 update will be available on June 15th at 9 PM PT/ 12 AM ET and will be available for Warzone June 16 at 9 PM PT/ 12 AM ET.
